University of Mumbai has come out with a Bachelor's Degree Course in Management Studies (B.M.S.) from the year 1999.The Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) is an under-graduate programme in management. It is a sought after course as most students are opting for management even before their graduation. This is a 3-year course & could be taken by students after their HSC or 10+2 education irrespective of their stream. The course shall consist of 40 modules comprising of 38 theory papers and 2 projects.
Eligibility:
Students who have appeared/passed Std. XII (Arts, Commerce, and Science) are eligible to take admission to this course. They have to appear for the Centralized Common Entrance Examination (CCEE) which is conducted by Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) on behalf of University of Mumbai. The examination is generally scheduled every year in the month of April.
Written Test
The CCEE comprises of 100 objective type questions in the areas of English language, Numerical Aptitude and Logical/Abstract Reasoning, to be attempted in 1 hour and 15 minutes. The CCEE carries 100 marks. The entrance examination tests the student’s skill in the areas of Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning. The BMS Entrance exam includes 30% questions on Mathematics (up to tenth standard level) , 20% questions on English, 40% questions on logic and 10% questions on Reading comprehension.
